Sri Venkateswara Koneru Perumal temple The history of the Sri Venkateswara Koneru Perumal temple in Secunderabad is rooted in its origin with Govind Mudaliar in the 1800s, followed by an expansion in 1841 by Arcot Ramaswamy Mudaliar who donated land. This ancient temple, around 200 years old, has undergone renovations, including the restoration of its Koneru (tank) and the construction of a Vaikuntha Dwaram. It is also known for having the only Bhu Varaha Swamy temple in Telangana on its premises.

• Age: It is considered one of the oldest temples in Secunderabad, with a history spanning approximately 200 years.
• Renovations: The temple has been the subject of recent renovations, including the restoration of the sacred Koneru (water reservoir) and the addition of a Vaikuntha Dwaram for devotees during Vaikuntha Ekadashi.
• Sub-temples and features: The premises are home to several other temples, with a significant one being the Bhu Varaha Swamy Temple, which is the only one of its kind in the state of Telangana. The temple also follows traditional South Indian architectural styles.
